THIS IS WHAT LEADERSHIP SOUNDS LIKE. SENATOR TIM SCOTT ON FLOOR OF THE UNITED STATES SENATE, JUNE 17th 2020 [EPISODE 30].

I preempted my regularly scheduled podcast to play Senator Tim Scott’s June 17^th  Speech on floor of US Senate. It was the 5^th Anniversary of Mother Emmanuel church shooting, and Scott had been the point person on the Justice Act in the Wake of the Death of George Floyd.

Senate Minority Whip, Dick Durbin (D-IL) called Scott’s legislation “token.” Scott addresses this and other issues related to getting this legislation passed.

Please note that there is a long pause 42 seconds into Scott’s speech as he talks about the Mother Emanuel church shooting. I have placed the full, unedited speech here and I include my own brief commentary after.
