HOW THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE UNDERMINED SLAVERY AND ENABLED CIVIL RIGHTS (AND CAN HEAL US TODAY) [EPISODE 178]

In this episode I want to talk about what happened on the 4^th of July—why it matters. It is not an irrelevant event or a holiday of the oppressor, but the key event that undermined the evils of slavery. It enabled the civil rights movement (MLK drew upon it for authority), and if we apply it, it can help us fix what ails us today.

Leadership, according to Marshal Goldsmith is “Providing inspiration and vision, then developing and empowering other to achieve this vision.” I am grateful that the founding fathers had the wisdom and insight to lead us to a better future.
